Cidesco. The Curriculum

By studying the Cidesco course here at The International School of Beauty Therapy you will qualify with the following international and national qualifications:

  • Cidesco
  • CIBTAC Aesthetic Treatments
  • CIBTAC Body Therapy
  • ITEC Beauty Specialist
  • ITEC Facial Electrical Treatments
  • ITEC Indian Head Massage

All of the above exam boards are independent of each other and are complete qualifications in themselves. However, it is the aim here to offer the students the opportunity to qualify with the best skills and accreditation possible and therefore we encourage our students to achieve recognition with all three exam boards. The school's reputation is built on attention to detail.

Specialist subjects taught as part of the

Cidesco course

Cidesco insist on all schools accredited by them to provide additional subjects of the schools choice over and above the Cidesco syllabus. As a prestigious Cidesco school, we are committed to offering students additional courses which we feel will benefit them in the current commercial work place. As such, you will study:

  • ITEC Indian Head Massage
  • Glycolic Facials
  • St Tropez Classic Cream Tan
  • Manual Lymph Drainage
  • Mineral Make Up
  • Commercial Skin care training

Every student on the Cidesco course will receive training on these subjects as part of their course and receive the BABTAC accredited International School Diploma and relevant company certificates.

  • CIDESCO, CIBTAC and ITEC Course Structure

The full time CIDESCO course requires attendance for 10 months. Students begin their training with the CIBTAC and ITEC beautician modules. Students qualify with CIBTAC and ITEC within the first 5 months. The body therapy, Indian head and manual lymph drainage modules are covered in the second part of the course. The CIDESCO examinations are held in twice a year.

We have specialist commercial training days which are optional. Whilst we encourage students to become commercially aware, the above qualifications will be achieved without these. Please see our short course brochure for more details. Steiner, Clarins and Dermalogica do seminars free of charge for all of the students.
